Ingredients:
6 oz peanuts
2 small garlic pieces
8-10 red chillies
half bunch of coriander leaves
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 large bowl tamarind pulp
little water
salt to taste
For seasoning:
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp urad dal
1 stick curry leaves
Procedure:
1. Roast the peanuts till it turns brown. Allow it to cool down.
2. Take a mixer and add the peanuts, cumin seeds, garlic, red chillies, coriander leaves, tamarind pulp and salt. Grind all these.
3. Take a pan and pour 1- 2 tbsp oil and add the mustard seeds, curry leaves, urad dal.
4. Once the mustard seeds start to splutter add this to the grounded paste.
Peanut Chutney is served with dosa, pesarattu, idli.
