Ingredeints:
1 cup Freshly grated Coconut
1/4 cup split chick peas(putnala pappu)
1/4 cup onions(optional)
3 Green chillies
Salt to taste
For Seasoning/tadka/talimpu:
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tbsp Ural dal(minapappu),you can use more if you like them.
1 stick Curry leaves(karivepaku)
2 Red chillies
Procedure:
1. Grind the coconut,chick peas.onions,green chillies and add salt to it.
2. Take a pan,add oil.
3. After the oil heats add mustard seeds,after they start spluttering add ural dal, curry leaves and red chillies.When the red chillies turn brown pour the entire seasoning into the coconut paste.
4.Coconut chutney is ready.
Coconut chutney/dipping tastes good with dosa and idli.
